“With Flowers and Birds”

A major retrospective exhibition of Teruko Yokoi’s work was held at the Koumi-machi Kougen Museum of Art in Nagano Prefecture from June 20 to August 23, 2015. To commemorate the retrospective, this exhibition focuses on Yokoi’s base of operations in Bern, Switzerland, where she has been based for the longest time in her 70-year career as a painter. The exhibition will feature 55 works, including 9 works on view for the first time, spanning the 30 years from 1962, when Ms. Yokoi moved to Switzerland, to 1991, when she obtained Swiss citizenship and Bernese citizenship.
